The need is great and the workers are few. Mission work can be found in our own neighborhoods.
A special guest will be visiting St. John June 28-July 1, 2017 to introduce how we can accomplish this mission work.
The special guest is Rev. Dr. Carlos Hernandez, director of Church and Community Engagement for the LCMS office of National Mission. He has served in other programs such as, Veterans of the Cross, and Soldiers of the Cross for the past six years. Pastor Hernandez will assist our congregation, through the Planting Gospel Seeds initiative, by “identifying the most critical and under-served needs in our community.” He helps congregations to become vital, growing churches, to making new disciples for Christ!
We look forward to meeting Rev.Hernandez and participating in this mission.
As our Lord said in Matthew 17:20 “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, move from here to there and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
